Fisher King Publishing Services is a division of Fisher King Press. As an independent publisher, Fisher King Press receives countless queries from authors seeking publication. We publish 8-10 books annually, with a back log of about 3 years. There's simply no way for us to offer publishing contracts to the countless authors who query. In turn, we miss out on publishing many wonderful books that deserve to be in print.
That's where Fisher King Publishing Services comes in. We specialize in helping authors to get their book into print. An alternative to publishing with vanity publishers such as iUniverse, xlibris, LuLu. . ., often time the better in our opinion, is for an author to publish on their own, which we’ve helped several authors do. Once book files have been built, a couple hundred copies can be printed. Once this small batch of books has sold, then another small batch is printed. As an author's readership grows, so can the size of the print runs.
There's no need whatsoever to get caught up with publishers like Lulu, iUniverse, xlibriis . . . You don’t need them! If you want to get your book printed and made available to the reading public, we can have your manuscript typeset and a cover designed and you own the files and control the content and future editing. It’s a much cleaner way to operate and you won’t be stuck paying a vanity publisher when you want to buy your own book. You don’t want to be in a position of having to buy your own book from vanity publishers, nor do you want the stigma of being affiliated with them, as you'll learn all too soon when you approach a bookseller to carry your new title.
